Do you love succulents? if yes, then this tutorial is just for you. You can adorn your home with these beautiful crochet succulents and make them in various sizes too.. More importantly, you don’t have to water them and they won’t die on you 🙂 Read below for instructions.
Start rolling them from one end and try to keep the bottom aligned. Then sew them in place. Remember to secure them nice and tight.
Materials needed:
Yarn in green, blue or turquoise colour.
Crochet hook according to the size of your yarn.
Tapestry needle.
Stitches used:
This pattern is written in US English terms.
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
dc – double crochet
tr – triple crochet
rep ** – repeat stitches between **
rep ** – repeat stitches between **
Instructions:
Leaving around some yarn for sewing, Chain in multiple of 3 + 5. I have chained 65 in this tutorial.
R1: dc in 5th chain from hook, ch 2, dc in the same space, then *chain 1, skip 2 chain space, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch,* rep ** across.
R2: chain 3 (count as 1 dc), turn your work, (2 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc) in the same space, 1 sc in the next chain space, *(3 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch1, 3 dc) in the next V space (the chain space between the two dc of prev row), 1 sc in the next chain space*. Repeat ** across. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Now we will have 21 petals made.
Your succulent is now ready 🙂 You can make them bigger or smaller by increasing or decreasing the chains. The blue succulent below is made with 45+5 chains.
